Five Recognized as Summit Certified Life Coaches

by Ircel Harrison

Five individuals have completed 64 hours of coach-specific training and received the designation of Summit Certified Life Coach. They are Mary Elizabeth Hanchey of Durham, NC; Peggy Haymes of Winston-Salem, NC; Mary Morrison of Clemson, SC; Tim Perkins of Milwaukee, WI; and Robin Sandbothe of Columbia, MO. In addition to class time, they have completed practice coaching with peers and volunteer clients.

Sandbothe, who has had a coach for ten years said, “I have found myself turning to my coach any time I am facing a new challenge, because he helps me draw on my inner wisdom, wisdom I sometimes don’t even realize I have.”

Commenting on the Pinnacle coach training program, Perkins stated, “Working with Ircel Harrison and Beth Kennett along with motivated and like-minded coaches-in-training has been an empowering and enlightening educational experience.”

Classes are taught by Beth Kennett, Charity Roberson, and Ircel Harrison. All are credentialed coaches through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) with hundreds of hours of coaching experience. Summit coaches-in-training are primarily clergy with backgrounds in congregations, denominational leadership, chaplaincy, counseling, and education.

With the graduation of these five students, Summit Coach Training has applied for certification as an Approved Coach Specific Training Hours (ACSTH) training program with ICF. All courses are taught in compliance with the ICF Code of Ethics, the ICF Program Accreditation Code of Conduct, and the ICF Core Competencies.

Summit Coach Training is a ministry of Pinnacle Leadership Associates. SCT recognizes that every person is a unique creation of God and encourages coaches to help each client live into their special calling with passion and intentionality.
